Wingate, N.C.--- Wingate University vice-president and director of athletics Steve Poston and assistant athletic director for sports information and game operations  David Sherwood announce the appointment of Joe Weidman as assistant sports information director. Weidman had served Wingate University as sports information intern since Sept. 15, 2005. He begins his new duties immediately.
