NCAA Division II Southeast Regional champion Wingate University placed three student-athletes on the first-team. Catawba College had two selections while CIAA champion Fayetteville State University and Chowan University each had one player selected to the first-team.

Leading the way on the first-team at the outside hitter position was Wingate freshman Shelly Stumpff. The SAC and Region Freshman of the Year earned all-conference and All-Region honors in her first year at Wingate, leading the Bulldogs with 3.17 kills per set. Catawba senior Kaitlyn Whitmer joined Stumpff on the first-team at outside hitter. Nwokolo ranked 10th nationally in hitting percentage.

SAC Player of the Year Anna Hilton of Wingate earned first-team All-State honors at the right-side hitter position. Armistead has earned All-CIAA honors all four years of her career, earning first-team accolades three times.

Catawba senior Jenny Young was named the first-team All-State libero. The second team All-SAC selection finished third nationally with 6.74 digs per set. Young holds the Catawba record for digs in a match (55), digs in a season (769) and career digs (2,290).
